Air Max 1 ’87 Premium University of Oregon PE (2024)

The Nike Air Max 1 ’87 Premium University of Oregon PE (2024) is a limited-release sneaker celebrating University of Oregon student athletes and designed in partnership with Ducks of a Feather, a sports gear company inspired by input from U of O athletes.

The University of Oregon PE (2024) iteration of the Nike Air Max 1’87 sports an upper of iridescent textiles in brown at the toebox and green at the collar. Perforated tan leather overlays adorn the quarter panel, while white and gray leopard print accents the eyestays. Beige suede forms the mudguard and mottled brown suede the heel counter. The blue side panel Nike Swoosh is echoed by a miniature Swoosh embroidered on the lateral toecap. The off-white Phylon midsole houses visible Air and rests atop a tan and off-white rubber outsole.

What we find the most delightful about this sneaker is the motto embroidered in gold on the heel tabs. One heel tab reads ONCE A DUCK, and the other reads ALWAYS A DUCK. The Nike Air Max 1 ’87 Premium University of Oregon PE (2024) was released at a retail price of $220 on March 26th, 2024.
